Lithium Battery v.s. Lead Acid Battery

More and more golf carts are equipped with lithium batteries, but still some customers have doubt about lithium batteries, especially the safety of lithium batteries. Actually, with the technology development, lithium batteries have become quite safe, especially when using on golf carts, because of its low speed. Firstly, lithium batteries are lighter than lead acid batteries in weight.

Lithium batteries can discharge maximum 2C current, and consistently 1C current. When a golf cart needs big power because of heavy loading or climbing steep slope, lithium batteries can supply the needed current, in this case, your golf cart never feels sluggish.
Fourthly, Lithium batteries are smaller in size
Within a certain volume, if installing lithium batteries, more Ah batteries can be installed, then the golf cart will have much longer range. Range anxious will be disappeared, especially if you need to drive the golf cart for long distance.
Fifthly, Lithium batteries can be charged quicker and easier.
For lead acid batteries, it’s recommended to the charge them in 6-8hrs, faster charging can damage lead acid batteries. While, for lithium batteries, they can be charged as fast as 2hrs, without damaging them. Also, for lead acid batteries, whenever charging them, need to charge the batteries fully every time, otherwise, they will be damaged. While, for lithium batteries, it’s not necessary, so you can charge your golf carts with lithium batteries any time.
